This was posted last summer:
August 2010: Basil. Ahhh. We have 18 plants of it on our balcony with just a little room left for two pots of Rosemary, our BBQ grill, a square table and two chairs. Basil gave me permission to purchase a new Cuisinart food processor so I could make Pesto. Two double batches so far. Some to a party over homemade noodles, some spread on farmer's market tomatoes with oil and Balsamic, some in the freezer. $62.50 per batch and counting;-D
August 2011: Eighteen plants again this year. As of today, down to $41.66 per batch and counting:•)

Did I Accomplish Anything Today?
Today I:
made oatmeal for Gregory's breakfast
made my own breakfast
cleaned up after breakfast
watered the plants on the balcony
washed down the balcony
watered the house plants
repotted three of the plants
worked on e-mail
talked on the telephone to John
posted to two of my three blogs
posted to my personal Facebook
posted to Michael's Museum Facebook
posted to Chicago Children's Museum Facebook
listened to music and had a good cry
talked on the phone to Jan
installed the front door alarm to prevent G from "wandering"
patched some holes where we moved picture frames
cleaned out the kitty liter pan and where she peed on the floor again
washed, dried or hung, and put away three loads of laundry
added a few things to the shopping list
repacked two "wandering" alarms that didn't work
made a blueberry pie
warmed up leftovers for dinner
finished watching a movie with Gregory
served warm blueberry pie with ice cream to Gregory and me
cleaned up after our snack
made a list of things I should do tomorrow
filled out a deposit slip
made the bed
cleaned up for bed
exercised and stretched before bedtime
typed this blog entry
and will read for a little while before falling asleep.
Why, then, do I feel like I didn't accomplish anything today?
