Flash Poetry - 25 words.

The Scream

He jumped,
Screaming all the way down
From the top
In a voice no one heard.
Not even he.
Hitting ground was the easy part.

A Regret About

Last Christmas, our friends JY & JB bought us a set of "Haikubes." The set consists of some 63 six sided ivory colored cubes most of which are engraved with words, a few left blank, and a few with possible poetry themes. The idea is to roll some or all of the cubes and select 5, 7, or 9. I augment the idea and use as many cubes or syllables as I choose.

MY WORDS:
Also, In, God, Before, No, Wrong, Down, I, My, Time, Things, Ran, Leaves , Trunk, Wise

MY POEM:

A Regret About

The leaves ran down
The trunk
Wise things in God
Before my time
Also, I?
No!

False Alarm

Fire engines
Lights flashing
Sirens howling
Tires screaming
Adrenalin pulsing
Racing to a false alarm
Caused by two little cockroaches
Crawling through a signal box.
