Self-Quarantine Exhibition

A truly amazing collection of photographs reflecting the self-quarantining currently underway.

Happy April Fool’s Day! Let me start off by saying a huge THANK YOU to the participating photographers from all over the globe, each of whom shared a little bit about themselves during this profound moment in history. There were hundreds and hundreds of submissions and as I uploaded each one, I thought about your life and world.  And though I corresponded only briefly with each of you, I was comforted by the connection to the greater whole as I have been in quarantine for almost three weeks. There are seven parts to this post so keep going until you get to the end. Pour yourself a big glass of wine or a big mug of coffee and enjoy the collected experience of The 2020 Lenscratch Self-Quarantining Exhibition…and share widely!  Be safe out there. See you on the other side. – Aline Smithson

Mexico is a Painting

These photographs were taken in San Pancho, Mexico on the main road (the only road) that runs from the highway to the beach. It is an easily walkable, shorter distance. When I walked it the day before, I was enthralled with the display of color and decided to try to capture the beauty of it to post here.

From The Past

Here are a few photos I have unearthed from Gregory's personal papers. I have been cleaning out the condo in preparation for taking out the bedroom and guest room carpeting and replacing them with hardwood floors. I believe they are from the late 1970's or early 1980's. Last two even earlier! You'll see what I mean.

Love this one!

'16 Portland, OG Japanese Garden

Pat and I visited the Japanese Garden in Portland. Besides a beautiful peaceful place with interesting surprises and views with each turn, you had to climb the side of a mountain for what must have been five stories to get to the entrance gate! Astounding, I think you will agree!
