A Blessing and A Curse

Our Blessing and also our curse is that we are born into two worlds, not quite belonging to either. We have animal bodies and instincts, we are subject to the law and limitations of gravity’ and at the same time, we have a mind that can envision infinite possibilities, that wants us to fly like angels.

Ten Poems to Change Your Life Again & Again. Roger Housden. 2007. Based on the poem “What the Living Do” by Marie Howe. P. 73
