House as Museum

Well, the house is decorated for Christmas 2013 and today I will photo document the event. The items and their placement around the condo is pretty much the same every year but there is always something new or someplace new added.

The slide show running on the top right of the BLOG is from "Christmas Past."

This year the Ginger Bread house is in a new place, on the lamp table between the sofa, if only so the kitties do not attack it on the coffee table. Since you cannot see it from all sides, I added a mirror at the back.

My friend Pat gave me 15 matching model chairs which she brought as a souvenir from her visit to Amsterdam. In the hall are a line of framed photographs. On top of the photographs are smaller framed art pieces. In turn, the chairs are set on top of the framed photographs in between each smaller frame. The chairs have been additionally decorated with a tiny nutcracker soldier and a tiny wreath.

The seven miniature trees with their European antique ornaments have been placed on a poinsettia place mat decorated turntable on the kitchen island. In between each tree is a small santa.

Otherwise the place looks its usual Christmas self. Wonderful. Magical.

I believe!

P.S. Watch for a link that will connect you to this years photo shoot.
