An Early Santa Sighting

I was off to do some shopping at Whole Foods which is two blocks from my condo. As I crossed Sherman Street, my path and that of a young man who was living with Downs Syndrome, met.

Without a smile, or a head nod, or even eye contact; he said out loud, "Hi Santa Claus," as he continued crossing the street.

I smiled and said aloud, hoping he would hear, "Thank You. Be good!"
