Friday, April 6, 2007
Downtown Puerto Vallarta. Walking towards la playa (beach.) Passed a restaurant called: “Vicky’s Tacos.”
Follow these instructions if you want to open one of your own: 1) Find an unused (or little used) passage way or hallway, not more than one meter wide, that opens onto the street. 2) Buy a small table, a table cloth to fit, a vase of plastic flowers, salt & pepper shakers. 3) Get two white plastic chairs from COKE for free with the all too familiar red logo. 4) Support a wooden plank on two wood crates, 5) Get a two burner, butane stove and a small microwave oven. 6) Get a chest, fill it with ice, fill with cans of soda. 7) Buy some tacos, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, chicken, steak, sausage, a few plastic glasses, and a bag of (purificado) ice. 8) Hang out a sign “VICKY’S TACOS.” 9) Put on your apron. 10) You are in business!
