Last Night ... the Most Amazing

Last night, sometime in the middle of the night, I felt someone spooning closer to me, nuzzling my neck, then kissing my ear. "Go away, I'm sleeping," was my automatic response.

"Can't we talk," was the returned response.

Lovingly, I reached back behind me and pinched his nose and said, "Not now!"

Then I realized I was awake and not dreaming. When the transition took place between "dream" and "awake" I do not know. Instantly I realized that it was Gregory visiting me. It felt like him, smelled like him, and is definitely something he used to do.

The most amazing part of this is that it was hard to de-compartmentalize dream from non-dream. I definitely felt the movement in bed and it was definitely not one of the cats. I felt the spooning and the nuzzling and the kissing. So real that I would swear that it was not just my imagination.

I am sorry that I sent him away with a "Not now!" Kind of like when you are tired, had a hard day at work, and are exhausted, so you push your lover away trying to postpone the "sex" until tomorrow?

Next time I hope to have a lengthier conversation!
