Woke up this morning with a wonderful cold. Knew something wasn't quite right last night. Raw throat, stuffy nose, headache, sneezing, coughing.I wonder if a cold isn't really a gift. At least for me a cold sends me back to bed, cancels a number of things I probably didn't want to do anyway, lets me spend more time reading, gets me taken care of and nurtured. With the right drugs, the symptoms are not too bad. But what about the social event I was going to, the food I cannot taste, the feelings of grumpiness, the errands I was looking forward to. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
