Just a Memory: Mrs. Goldstein
1957. Mrs. Goldstein, the owner of a mom and pop grocery store on Anslie Avenue in Chicago used to call me "Dark Eyes." I was seven or eight years old and my mom would let we walk the two blocks to pick up a few things from the list she gave me. No worries then.
