What an adventure. A poetry reading, sponsored by the Sherman Plaza Residence Social Committee. In the Hospitality Suite on the third floor of my condo. Attended by 30-40 people, half friends, half neighbors. Me, reading selections from both my first "slim volume of poetry" and my second. Approximately 30 minute presentation. With multi media portion running on the large, flat screen behind my place at the table. Table with white cloth, plant, green mug, and open computer (resembling my morning writing time but really running the slide show,) all arranged in front of me "come sit with me a while" style, very kitchen homsey! Sweet table proved by Shannon of Noir d' Ebene, Sangria, coffee, tea. Brief question/answer period after. Selling and autographing books afterwards.
