Yesterday was Gregory and my 41st Anniversary. I received a miracle from Gregory or what I call "a wink and a nod"from Gregory the night before (Click here to read about it in a new window.) and another one the night of our Anniversary.
I spent our anniversary with friends Sheryl and John over a delicious Italian dinner and then a Steppenwolf play about the infidelity of a husband and wife and their dysfunctional family. It was a dark comedy, intelligently written and well acted.
The "wink and nod" occurred when I looked at the clock, on one of my nightly "wake up pees,"which read, "1:23 AM" and the outside thermometer which read, "4 degrees."
So 1, 2, 3, 4 to us!
One cannot see 'winks and nods' or miracles or any other good things until we believe in the possibility of small measures of comfort.
ReplyDeleteAttitude has much to do with it. "Look! 1 2 3 4" is so much better than 'oh, no, gotta get up in the middle of the night. Again.'
